Bio

Dr. Anneli Joplin is a Learning Experience Architect at Camden Property Trust where she designs learning experiences, develops resources, and automates administrative processes to improve performance. Anneli, an NSF Graduate Research Fellow, received her PhD in chemistry from Rice University in 2017. During graduate school, Anneli experimented with creative ways to communicate her fundamental physical chemistry research and she still enjoys the challenge of creating visuals that make complex scientific stories accessible to a broad audience. Before joining Camden in 2019, Anneli spent 2 years as the Instructor of Visual Communication & Design in the Center for Academic & Professional Communication at Rice University. In her role as Instructor, she taught workshops on visual communication topics including conference poster design, presentation design, and data visualization. She also organized the inaugural Rice Visual Communication Symposium,  an interdisciplinary event featuring presentations and hands-on workshops led by a variety of visualization experts.
